“The Voice of the Mediterranean” commemorates her fifty-year musical career, returning to the stages that welcomed her in her beginnings. A sea of dedications by friends and colleagues blend into a single voice in a poster of tribute to the Mallorcan singer by way of the initials: To Maria del Mar Bonet. Degraded blues, applied by split-fountain printing, in vivid, intense tones. The font used for the text is Mallory, paired with initials from an unidentified condensed sans serif woodtype.

    1. Could be the unidentified woodtype Hamilton Poster Gothic Condensed (1900)?

    2. Good find, Lluís, thanks! As far as I can tell, there’s no digital version of this wood type design, but our headline and logo font, Relay Condensed, has a similar feel.
