Graphic design, catalogue and exhibition design for “Fu la Spagna! (It was Spain) – The fascist view of the Spanish Civil War” (Barcelona, Catalan History Museum, 18/11/2016 – 19/2/2017). Using some 300 images the exhibition analyses the representation of Mussolini’s military intervention in the conflict from the viewpoint of fascist Italy. In order to create the visual identity of the event, the graphic language of the time has been analysed, using forms and colours of military inspiration as well as the Mostra Nuova font family, inspired by the Italian posters of the 1930s. That was exactly what I needed!
