Posters for the short film Borá, directed by Angelo Defanti.
For years Borá reigned supreme as the least populated municipality in Brazil. In September of 2012, the mayor of Borá writes a Facebook post addressing rumors of the mysterious disappearance of 12 people, right after the city lost its title.
In the film, the mayor’s post is read on voice-over by the narrator while we see a collection of [almost] still images of Borá’s buildings, parks, and streets.
For the poster, I wanted to make the smallest municipality in Brazil be the biggest it could be. Taking advantage of MFred’s narrow characters I stretched the type to cover the whole area of the poster making sure the proportions were not [too] distorted.
