Ramblin’ Man” was released in August 1973 as the lead single from The Allman Brothers Band’s fourth studio album, Brothers and Sisters. The song became the group’s first and only top 10 single. The image shows the German release, with the instrumental “Jessica” as B-side.

The typeface is Gemma by Italian designer Nicola Russo, originally drawn as a lowercase for the design that became known as Neo Prisma, with strokes comprised of four evenly distributed lines. You can see the capitals and the minuscules side by side in the original art, on the website of the Archivio Storico del Progetto Grafico by Aiap. Russo submitted it to the permanent contest of Mecanorma. The French manufacturer of dry transfer lettering selected both designs. While the uppercase was produced as Neo Prisma in 1972, the lowercase followed soon after, under the name Gemma, with the center gap filled in.

Small print in Helvetica. The Capricorn Records logo appears to be based on Concordia, with added shadow.
