A (fictional) publication that transcribes “Duplitecture”, episode 125 of the 99% Invisible podcast series. Simultaneously, this booklet aims to generate a visual experience for a narrative originally intended to be solely audible.

It extracts concepts addressed in the episode as well as those of the story’s cultural context to implicitly emulate manufactured imitation, preservation, and ‘warped mimicries’. Cues from contemporary Chinese graphic design are paired with that of misprinting, carbon copies and mirrored imagery in a nuanced and careful manner, thus developing a valuable addition to the podcast episode.

All photography used belongs to: The Business Insider, The Guardian, Library of Congress, National Public Radio, WIRED Magazine.
