The Materials is a website I created to promote the concept of “slow fashion”, an emerging approach towards sustainable fashion in order to reduce our carbon footprints.
The art direction is aligned with the appreciation of timeless aesthetics, one of the key ways to build a sustainable closet. It is visualised by adopting neutral and clean design styles, paired with modern interactivity and usability. So, Suisse Int’l, designed by Swiss Typefaces, is used throughout the whole site to echo with it.

The color dot micro-interaction on the mouse might be a reference to Jake Dow-Smith Studio (also on Fonts in Use), only with varying colors this time.
