Saturn is a German chain of electronics stores, found in several European countries. The printed edition of its tech and entertainment-focussed magazine TURN ON got redesigned: Since issue 1/2020, the new layout and art direction of Hamburg-based twotype is in use.
Every two months, around 60 pages of infotainment on the fields of technology, games, films and series, music and smart home and is available free of charge to Saturn customers in all stores.
The typographic canon of art director Juliane Kess is quite organized and clear: Cera Condenseddefines the headlines. The more common balanced Cera Compact is used for introductory text and some longer sections. Most text is set in Harrison Serif, with supplemental information in Harrison’s italics. Last but not least Drone Ranger is used for the figures: listings, pagination, and structuring of the chapters.
