    J-card and label for blank audio cassettes made under the ORWO brand in the German Democratic Republic, AKA East Germany. The cassettes were manufactured by the VEB Chemiefaserwerk “Friedrich Engels” in Premnitz, Brandenburg and sold for 17 ostmarks. The typeface is Gert Wunderlich’s contribution to the neo-grotesque genre. Maxima was designed from 1963 on in response to Western typefaces like Univers, and first issued in 1970 by Typoart.
