I see that a script logo was introduced to the blocks themselves at some point. I wonder when and why — the blocky Playbill was just right for the game — and why the logo on the packaging wasn’t updated to match.
Corparate identity doesn’t seem to have been so important to jenga in the ’80s and ’90s. This 1996 packaging from the V&A Museum collection, shows an updated logo (with a single-storey g) and new lettering on the cubes – once again something other than the logo used on the packaging.
