Potere Operaio (“Workers’ Power”) was a revolutionary Marxist political group, active in Italy between 1967 and 1973, and part of the Operaismo movement. Its main sphere of operations was in factories.
Other Office were invited to make this poster as part of Bring The War Home, a 2016 show of dissident political graphics at London’s KK Outlet; the principal type, a beta version of Pressio №35, was a nod to the condensed sans-serif types Potere Operaio used in its communications. Curated by Alex Brown, then at Pentagram.
