Küchenquelle (“kitchen source”) is a German kitchen manufacturer with over 400 employees and 28 stores. The inspirational catalogue for 2021 was produced by the Leonhardt & Kern advertising agency, based in Stuttgart, Germany. Senior Art Director Irena Cizerle chose Spitzkant by Julien Fincker for headlines and page numbers, and Proxima Nova by Mark Simonson for running text in the catalogue’s 92 pages. She also used OpenType features and alternate characters to create individual and expressive headlines. Note for instance the lowered caps with umlauts on the cover, or the right leaning A on the fourth image. The catalogue was designed as a high-quality lifestyle coffeetable book, and was printed on uncoated paper for a haptic experience.
