Irregular is a German skateboard magazine, based in Munich, Germany. The quarterly features professional skateboarders, trips and events on 128 pages, with a lot of photographs by Fabian Reichenbach.
Art director Stefan Gottwald chose a combination of typeface families Spitzkant and Ardena by Julien Fincker for this year’s issues. The typefaces are combined in very different and playful ways for headlines and body text. Each article gets its own look and feel, in a very modern and high-class way.
Issue 45 is the third issue of the year, and the third to feature only these two typefaces for the whole layout of the magazine. See also the posts about issues 43 and 44.
