NatWest social media
Jubilat is the typographic voice of NatWest’s social media presence.
NatWest – short for National Westminster Bank – is a major retail and commercial bank in the United Kingdom. It’s part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, which in 2020 rebranded as NatWest Group. For its visual identity, the bank combines two typefaces, a custom font family named RN House Sans, and Jubilat for situations where more personality and expressivity is in order. On the various social media channels including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, Jubilat takes the lead.
The ballsy slab serif by Darden Studio is used predominantly in the attention-grabbing Bold style, further amplified by loud colors and various means of informal emphasis like textmarker effects and scribbled underlines. Jubilat hits the sweet spot between being approachable and impactful. This makes it a formidable choice for delivering NatWest’s messages, which range from tips for greener living and warnings about scams to occasional meme-like fun posts.
