The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Ateneo de Yucatán – MACAY is located in the historic centre of Mérida, which is responsible for promoting and disseminating modern art throughout the Yucatán peninsula.

To this end, it periodically renovates its fifteen temporary exhibition halls. It also has four permanent exhibition halls where the works of Yucatecan artists Fernando Castro Pacheco, Fernando García Ponce and Gabriel Ramírez Aznar are exhibited.

With the aim of disseminating these permanent exhibitions, this catalogue was designed. It presents the most emblematic works of the Yucatecan artists together with a text that describes their life, work and trajectory.

Respecting the colour palette of the museum’s graphic identity, it was decided that the editorial design would be clean, giving prominence to the artistic works.

Alternate Gothic was used for the cover, Titillium for the title page and Source Sans for titles and paragraphs.
