When chatting to Mattea Perrotta about creating a portfolio website for her, what struck was the simple but exact mood for it:
“I want the site to feel like a renaissance festival on mushrooms with a punk band playing”
This was the main and only inspiration when designing this playful layout. We wanted it to be fun and colourful without overpowering the artwork or taking attention away from it.
The entire website is set in G2 Ciao Shrill, the italic style of G2 Ciao by Gruppo Due. The typeface feels particularly suited as it’s just legible enough to work as a main copy type, but without feeling serious and static at all.
