Daniel, is there a specific reason why you tagged Basic Commercial instead of Akzidenz-Grotesk? Is it mentioned in the colophon, or do you have a pdf?
The former is Linotype’s name for their version of the latter. As far as I can tell, there are no striking design differences between the two. Shown below is a comparison of Berthold’s digital AG Medium (top) and Basic Commercial Bold (bottom).
