Florence Foster Jenkins was a vocalist in New York during the first half of the 20th century who became known for her flamboyant performances that earned her the title of “world’s worst opera singer” among some critics.

This posthumous album of one of her recitals was released in 1954, available as a 2×7″ record set or a 10″ LP. The design used for the cover of both editions features a rare use of the filigreed serif+sans mashup typeface, Florist (a.k.a. Union), accompanied by a barrage of exclamation marks from Ultra Bodoni or similar. The liner notes of both editions are typeset in Bodoni.

The cover is credited to Jon Henry, a designer and artist who would later release the typeface Abigail for Chartpak.
