This poster series aims to celebrate some of the most iconic works in the history of Japanese comics, in particular Devilman, Tetsuwan Atom, Doraemon, and Dragon Ball. Stories and characters that occupy a very important place in pop culture not only in Japan, but all around the world.

The colors of the illustrations are a tribute to some of the covers of Bird Land Press, a bi-monthly publication from 1982 to 1987 by Shūeisha and Akira Toriyama, creator of Dragon Ball and Dr. Slump.

For the names, I used Monopol (Latin) and Hiragino Maru Gothic (Japanese). Accompanying text is set in Everett.

See my Behance page for more images as well as a project description in Italian.
