I would like you to link the original pages. In the case of FF fonts, those of the Fontshop etc. MyFonts has become so cheeky on the part of the customer service that they don’t get a cent from me anymore. Also: if the money goes to the same monopolist.
This post contains no link to MyFonts or to FontShop. On the typeface pages, we aim to link to all relevant sources. In the case of Cellini, this includes FontShop. Visitors looking to obtain a font license are free to choose the source of their liking.
I don’t know about the current state of FontShop’s customer service. What I do notice is that the information in their database is riddled with errors and omissions. For example, they credit several typefaces to the name of Albert Boton that definitely weren’t designed by him – including Jackson, which is by Bernard Jacquet.
In previous times, I would often write to them, trying to get the errors fixed. But there’s no point in doing so when there’s no one on staff anymore who cares about these things.
Yes, unfortunately you are right. They have many bugs that are not fixed. However, the customer service is the best. Mrs. Hamer did it very well until they have let her anymore. The fact that nothing is being improved in the shop is down to Monotype, who apparently want to force all customers into the MyFonts shop. – And later to the online subscription.
