This children’s book was designed to accompany the Louvre exhibition Les Choses. Une histoire de la nature morte (“Things. A History of Still Life”) in 2022 and features Self Modern by Lucas Le Bihan for titles, text set in Fraunces from Undercase Type and highlights in Indian Type Foundry’s Quilon.

Showcasing a selection of works featured in the exhibition, it underlines art permanent inspiration in life and human preoccupations (such as life, death, beliefs, science, nature…).

Alongside each work are anecdotes, quotes or philosophical concepts putting it in perspective with the world we live in. Some pages even feature activities, playfully inviting readers to look more closely.

It was co-published by Éditions Courtes et Longues and Louvre éditions.
