The visual identity of Diergaarde Blijdorp in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, is dominated by the rough-edged and hand-drawn looking FF Kosmik (Erik van Blokland, 1993) – just like the one of Zoo Leipzig.

Detail of the legend to the site plan shown above. FF Kosmik is paired with the equally friendly but more widely employable FF Profile (Martin Wenzel, 1999).

The website could use a typographic facelift: FF Kosmik is used here, too, but only as static pixel images and sIFR Flash movies, instead of more versatile webfonts. Smaller text is rendered in a mix of system sans-serifs (Arial, Verdana, Trebuchet).

The logo pairs the two weights of FF Kosmik with the aptly named FF Irregular (Markus Hanzer, 1994)
