The new brand identity for Scottish Swimming, the national governing body for swimming in Scotland, launched at the start of 2015.
As well as the word mark set in GT Haptik and the accompanying ripple-inspired linear logo, Touch delivered marketing collateral, poolside graphics and a comprehensive set of guidelines encompassing the various swimming disciplines.

I wonder whether the multiline logo was inspired by Vibro and its ligature for ‘ss’ in particular. See also Stripes.
Hi Florian, the inspiration mainly came from the op-art syle Olympic logos by Lance Wyman for Mexico ’68 and Otl Aicher for Munich ’72. The original drawing had eight lines, but this was reduced to six in the design development stage for practical production issues.
I hadn’t Vibro seen before but it looks great. I like what they’ve done with the ligature you linked to. The way they have designed the characters with diacritics is really nice too.
Donald, thanks for your reply! Lance Wyman’s Mexico 68 certainly is a design icon, and, together with Prisma, one of the most influential multiline alphabets.
