ITC Novarese

Designed for Haas and released by ITC under license in 1980. Announced for January 1980. [U&lc Vol. 6 No. 4.] Also carried by Berthold Fototypes. Reichardt/Hoefer claim it was released by Berthold first. However, it’s not yet included in their E2 catalog from 1980. Comes in 4 weights. All but the boldest (Ultra) are acccompanied by italics, which are distinguished by mixing an italic lowercase with an upright uppercase.

Digitizations by ITC and Adobe. ITC’s Pro version restores the roman small caps for the Book and Medium.
