First cut by Figgins in the 1870s in a single weight. [Barnes] A 20th-century specimen by sucessor Stevens, Shanks shows considerable differences between the sizes.
Antique Six (Wooden Type Fonts, 2005) appears to be based on the 36pt size. Antique No 6 (Commercial Classics, 2019) is a revival that extends the range to 7 weights with newly added italics. Its Extrabold roman follows a smaller size of the original and is used for the sample.
