Antique Extended (light)

Origin unknown. This very wide and lighter, lower contrast version of the Antique style was known variously as Antique Extended No. 2–4, No. 8, No. 124, No. 152–3, Clarendon Extended, and Light Face Antique Extended. Sold by Peignot as Égyptiennes Élargies. Updated by ATF in the 1950s as Hellenic Wide.

A digital revival with a rough contour is Archive Type’s Archive Antique Extended (used for sample).

No to be confused with Antique Extended in wood.
