Released by A.D. Farmer & Son in 1895 [Inland Printer, Circuitous Root]. Italic released in 1899. Very similar to Bradley (ATF, 1894) and perhaps based on the same lettering by William H. Bradley.
Also sold by Pavyers & Bullens and Stephenson Blake (as Abbey Text), by Patent/Shanks (as Venetian Text, 1899), by Flinsch [and later Bauer] (as Kloster-Gotisch, 1897), and by SKH [Shah Kikhabhoi?] (as Venter) [Reichardt 2011].
Not to be confused with Farmer’s oldstyle romans, Abbey and Abbey No. 2.
