Quaint Roman was designed by Gustave F. Schroeder and cast by the Central Type Foundry in c. 1890, first without lowercase. Quaint Roman No. 2 added a lowercase before June 1894 [Inland Printer] Reproduced in Petzendorfers Schriftenatlas, Neue Folge.
Phototype adaptations by Photo-Lettering, first as Xenotype 3475 [Art Nouveau Xenotypes 1895–1905, 1962] and later under the original name [PLINC 1965], and by Face [Face 1970].
