Verdana

Four basic styles, designed by Matthew Carter and hinted by Tom Rickner, were released by Microsoft in 1996 as part of the Core Fonts for the Web collection.

Verdana (and its companion Georgia) was expanded by Font Bureau, Carter & Cone, and Monotype to 20 styles each and released as Verdana Pro (and Georgia Pro) in 2013.
