The lowercase-only typeface was designed in 1973 by Tom Hultgren and was among the winners of a competition held by Letraset in 1973. Alternates for ‘ijlqvw’.

Digital versions include a badly spaced ITC Traffic (©1992 Corel Corporation) and Traffic by Agfa (1995), which both have disappeared from the market. WSI had an open version. Trafaret (1993) is a digital interpretation and expansion with Cyrillic support by Alexey Kustov for TypeMarket. Artistica (Manu Ramos, 2012) and HFF Code Deco (2014, with uppercase) are freebie interpretations.
