    The Deep Blue Good-by, No. 1 in the Travis McGee series (1964) and Bright Orange for the Shroud (1968). Cover art by Ron Lesser.

    ITC Machine was a recurring star on the 1960s covers of John D. MacDonald’s Travis McGee series. In the late ’70s, for The Quick Red Fox, the extruded ITC Pioneer (released in 1970) takes the octagonal style to another level.
