Dutch single from 1965 [Hiltscher]. Also released in Spain in 1968 [Discogs]. A rather brutalist design that simply slams down the reversed lowercase letters onto the halftone potrait, in one big size and left-aligned lines, regardless of the clashing descender in ‘four’, with an underline that doesn’t really match the chubby style of the letterforms.

The main typeface is Dave West’s Cooper Nouveau Swash 10, made for Photo-Lettering, Inc. sometime in the 1960s. The lighter weight (shown in the sample) was digitized by Dave Foster in 2015. Letraset’s Lazybones (1972) is a close follower of the bold style.

Top: Letterforms from the record sleeve, in Cooper Nouveau Swash 10.

Bottom: Resetting in Letraset’s Lazybones (URW digitization).
