The script on the shop front of this bakery in Bad Bergzabern is a smoothed rendition of Slogan, designed by Aldo Novarese for the Italian foundry Nebiolo in 1957. A year later, Ludwig & Mayer in Germany unwittingly used the same name for a bold script typeface designed by Helmut Matheis — who happens to be a resident of Bad Bergzabern.
