PLINC’s Stars and Stripes for two ads by the Elton John Fan Club from 1974. In that year, Elton John just had signed an $8 million contract with MCA Records. In November, MCA released Elton John’s Greatest Hits. It became his best-selling album to date, with 17 million sold copies in the USA alone.
