Sarah Sze, De nuit en jour / Artavazd Pelechian, La Nature, Les Saisons exhibition

In 2020, Super Terrain teamed up with Baptiste Chauloux to design visual identity, poster and digital work for the joint exhibition Sarah Sze, De nuit en jour, and Artavazd Pelechian, La Nature, Les Saisons, at the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain.

For its new exhibition, the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, in Paris, is unveiling new works by two artists: on the ground floor, the American Sarah Sze displays two large-scale installations, and on the floor below, the Armenian filmmaker Artavazd Pelechian is screening two films.

Although there is little substance to link Sarah Sze’s installations and Artavazd Pelechian’s films at first glance, the Fondation Cartier offers, with these two artists, an example of a long-term relationship of loyalty. And yet, a common sensibility emerges in the background. The works of Sarah Sze and Artavazd Pelechian brings out our relationship with the world and its fleeting, grandiose nature. A world made of images that the two artists appropriate with great subtlety.
