“An exciting and thoughtful science-fiction satire in the spirit of Douglas Adams and Kurt Vonnegut”, by Brian Herbert. The chosen display typeface is Pipeline, a rounded Art Deco sans with narrow proportions, but full-wide circular forms for C E G O Q etc. This trait is cleverly brought into effect for the author’s name with its two E’s.

Pipeline was designed by Michael Chave of Marvin fame, and issued by Face Photosetting in 1970. Rian Hughes did a digital interpretation and expansion as Elle (Device, 2018).
