16 feet of neon welcomes visitors to downtown Raleigh, N. Carolina and this reimagined mid-century motor lodge. The “Longleaf” type formally references the soaring asymmetric branches of longleaf pines which are defining of the area. Rather than simply declaring The Longleaf Hotel & Lounge, “Long Live Longleaf” represents a greater commitment to longleaf pines which are endangered and receding.
