Luther is a condensed flare serif distinguished by pointed, almond-shaped rounds. It was designed by Tony Geddes and issued by Face Photosetting in 1970. A digital version was made by Dave Farey for Panache in 1992.

Here it’s used mostly in caps, for the dust jacket of an anthology of horror stories written by Helen Hoke and published by J.M. Dent in 1980. The illustration (and possibly also the typography) is by Sally Holmes.
