Painters & Dockers are a rock band from Mebourne, Australia. The sleeve for their 1987 single “Die Yuppie Die” has their name and the single title overprinted on some background typewriter text, with a reverse-out effect where the foreground overlaps with the background.

The MFB Gothics all look very similar, but I think this one may be News Gothic (Condensed Bold from Bitstream is a digital version that comes close).

The background text is the typewritten ransom note of the Australian Cultural Terrorists from the incident where Picasso’s Weeping Woman was stolen from the National Gallery of Victoria.

The typewriter text has me a bit stumped. The letters are close to the showing of Delegate from Nick Sherman’s Selectric specimen, but the numbers are different.
