This to me feels like archetypal, very classical (and economical) British graphic design – the all-centred, minimal-use-of-colour design feels pre-war or ’50s, and I was surprised to see it reported as being late as 1968. (A history of the EL series seems to say that it was designed in 1959, which feels very plausible to me.)
