John N. Schaedler was a phototype and reproduction studio in New York City, active in the 1960s–70s. Their newsletter was full of silly jokes and irreverent remarks about customers and competition, but also reported typographic news of the day and announced some original typeface releases. This issue introduced Hunyday Gothic and calls attention to the “parquet floor” effect created by the typeface. The copy also indicates that Schaedler offered a “Style Leaders” program where VIP customers received early film font releases.

    1. Hunyady Gothic was digitized in 2017 by Fontastique Fonts with permission from the designer.

    2. Thanks! My understanding is that this version isn’t available for licensing, but rather a private digitization.
