his 1889 specimens. Lowercase is missing. Very similar to a curious
design included in the 1838 Nesbitt catalogue.” — Kelly 1969. A
c.1901 Hamilton specimen shows No. 238 with lowercase. There are
several 20th-century followers including Strada,
Beat
Star, Sintex,
and Zipper.

as Skidoo Caps with minor
variations (descending ‘Q’, heavy ‘W’, more conventional
‘Z’). Other photo versions include MP 334
