Boy with Lots of Brass is a 1957 album by Canadian jazz trumpeter by Maynard Ferguson. This is the 1960 re-release in stereo, with a cover design by 2017 AIGA Medalist Emmett McBain (1935–2012).

Under the extra-large HiFi Stereo notion, the title and artist name are set in Rudolf Koch’s chunky all-caps Neuland (1923). “Stereo” might be Photo-Lettering’s Ballast Expanded, a wide bold Grotesque similar to Annonce. On the top edge of the cover, the name of the album, the recording artist and the serial number are repeated in light all caps to make life easier for those who want to have their record collection neatly organized. This typeface is similar to Sackers Gothic or Sweet Sans, but those weren’t yet available in 1960.
