The Bear and her Book from UCLAN Publishing is written by Frances Tosdevin and illustrated by Sophia O’Connor. The title and names are hand lettered with Hawkland used for text throughout. The sensitive use of Hawkland drifts between straight lines of text and flowing curved ones – both balancing the lyrical words and sumptuous illustrations; supporting the bear on her quest for more.
