From the publisher (translated):

Films are a mirror of the society from which they come. Rocky is eminently American. Le fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain is unquestionably French. , downright Italian. How are our films… unmistakably Quebecois? What do they say about us? Based on some 600 feature films from the last 80 years, Michel Coulombe examines more than 100 themes that color our cinematography, from religion to nationalism, including cigarettes and bicycles!

Titles, drop caps and quotes use Bangel Ultra Black and Solid. The typographic palette of the book design also comprises various weights from Titillium – for the cover, intros, and by-lines – and an unidentified serif [it appears to be Crimson Pro, see comments].
