Front cover. I guess that this is a black-and-white scan, and where "Typewriter" is reversed out, that's on a coloured block. But we may never know what colour it is.
I recently borrowed a typewriter, and while it is not a government-issued Remington, I still got some use out of this booklet produced by the US government for typists.
Stymie is used for “Typewriter” and the series title at the top. “Care” is custom script lettering. “Prepared by” is in Coronet. The text below is set in Stymie’s Medium, Bold Condensed, and Extrabold styles.
Stymie is also used on the inside for headings, and the single drop cap (on page 2). It’s paired with the similar Memphis for subheadings and captions.
I’m not sure what the main body text is set in. It appears to be some sort of Baskerville.
Page 4 with figure 1 looks like a reproduction of a postcard or a poster that may have been made and distributed alongside or as well as the pamphlet. The text on it is handlettering.
