Charter

Designed in 1987 by Matthew Carter as the first original typeface of Bitstream who sold the rights to ITC in 1993 while still selling their own version. The typeface has been packaged by at least four foundries featuring different typographic features and language support. A Cyrillic version was developed by Vladimir Yefimov at ParaType in 1999.
