Note the narrow alternate ‘s’ in the second line. Berthold Block contained a number of those which helped in fitting the text to a given width. The serif is one of the many metal precursors of Romana. The very condensed type for the number of contestants (“180 Konkurrierende”) might be Berthold’s Schmale Herold.
