Mike Daines

English type designer, b. 1947. Started working at Letraset in the late 1960s and was made studio manager in 1971. After leaving in 1973 to join Graphic Systems (Rapitype), Daines returned to Letraset in 1979 to manage the dsitribution of Letraset’s typefaces under license and to introduce digitization. Created Baseline magazine, which he edited and published from 1979 until 2007. Managed URW, Hamburg. In 2005 he founded eLexicons Ltd., to develop interactive learning resources. Author of Faces of Letraset (2016).
