“While Vendôme is signed by François Ganeau (best known for his stage designs), this typeface bears the characteristic imprint of Excoffon, the artistic director of the Olive foundry, who ‘advised’ Ganeau at every stage of the creation.” – Musée de l’imprimerie de Lyon Issued by Olive in 6 styles from 1951 on. Also cast by Bauer in 1962. [Ad, Reichardt] The étroit (condensed) style of 1954 is quite similar to Trump Mediaeval schmalhalbfett which came 8 years later.
