The condensed styles of ITC Avant Garde Gothic, added by Ed Benguiat in 1974. Announced in the first issue of U&lc (1973) in 4 upright weights, with alternates and ligatures. The current digital version (2020) by ITC has 5 weights plus italics, but none of the original alternates and ligatures.
